Blu – Good to Be Home

Reliable rapping; absolute blur for beats. Don’t know who Bombay is, don’t care – not sure why Blu let him produce the entire double album’s worth (the sort of release that thrives on variety), but this is his worst project so far. With Black Hippy crew and begrudingly, some stuff by Odd Future and Lil B, and even Blu’s own album in 2011, the West Coast has been more interesting than it has been in years. But Blu’s ode to the West makes it seem like the most boring place to be, ever.
