Leyland Kirby Presents V/Vm

5302649

A streamlined version of Leyland Kirby’s attempt at making one song a day for an entire year back in 2006 … and though it’s not bad, there’s nothing of note: zero melodies and a lot of stimulated atmosphere (“empty warehouses” or something synonymous comes up in every possible review I’ve read). If A Partial Feedback is any indication, than the entirety of The Death of Rave must have been a lot of forced inspiration/creativity under the misguided banner of ambition. Waste of a perfectly fine concept that should’ve ranked alongside An Empty Bliss Beyond This World, waste of one of his best cover arts.
